Rearranged Joomla! Home Page

I visited Joomla website recently and was surprised to find out the entire rearrangement on the home page. And even more glad to look at the cluster of links along the footer. I took sometime to realize it because I don’t check Joomla website daily. It's due to my Joomla feed subscription on Google Reader.

Without a doubt it’s an admirable move to make information visible at a glance for all of us, especially those who are new to Joomla and would like to find out more about it. I am saying this out of my own experience sometime ago when I was new to Joomla and its 1.5 version. I would be on a hunt for the info and usually get lost between the pages. Joomla or documentation team is not to blame as maintaining and presenting information structure of this scale is a challenge. It may sound silly but bookmarking also helped little because of choosing and remembering the tags was crucial. After a few months now I am very comfortable with the information structure.

Since rearrangement is in place, It will be very helpful to tackle the issue at the moment. Joomla is known to come for a rescue whenever required and Joomla 1.6 is on its way with some of such features.

Web a place to be

Everyday I find web becoming a better place to be at and it has so much to explore and adopt. Web is changing the way we have been existing on it over the years. And it makes me excited to see what will be the next best thing happening to it.

The social media and the platform on which they have been used are in the news these days. I mean the mobile devices, it connects us to the world of web social media on the go. We all are using them to its maximum best potential. And result is in their increasing popularity. The exploration doesn't stop because of the curiosity, what may come next never ends.

Since web is highly evolving, now is the time to build our presence. And that's one of the reason I am back to blogging. I have no cue where it would lead but I am all excited at this moment.
